About Us
Friends of Croft State Park is a volunteer group that supports Croft State Park in their mission to protect the park's beautiful natural and cultural resources while making the park better for all of its visitors. We work closely with park staff to put on a variety of programs and events each year, and we help raise money and other resources for these programs and events as well as improvements throughout the park. We are always looking for more members to help us make our programs and events better and to help make Croft State Park a better place for everyone. If you are interested in joining Friends of Croft State Park or supporting us in any other way, please send an email to friendsofcroftstatepark@gmail.com or visit our Facebook page Friends of Croft State Park.
Programs and Events
Spring into Croft - Event
The first Saturday of April every year, Friends of Croft State Park organizes an event geared toward getting everyone out in the park to participate in all the fun activities the park has to offer. We have everything from organized horseback rides, bike rides, kayaking, hiking and lawn games and shorter hikes for the little ones. We invite nonprofit groups and vendors to come out and showcase their goods and services. We also like to showcase the parks history. There are food trucks and lots of fun. We even have the Easter Bunny on hand for pictures.
Fishing 4 Fun Day - Kids Fishing Event
With the help of some generous local businesses, Friends of Croft State Park organizes a yearly fishing event for children. Each child gets a free rod and reel, a T shirt and there are multiple awards and raffles.
Neewollah - Halloween Event
Croft State Park's Halloween event, Neewollah, is organized by the Friends of Croft State Park with the assistance of Croft State Park staff and volunteers. This is our only nonprofit fundraising event of the year. The event is cash only and is held the first Saturday of October and runs from 3:00PM until 8:45PM and usually includes:
Halloween Costume Contests for multiple age groups and pets with prizes
Bounce House
Face Painting
Hayrides
Food and Drinks
Contests to see which campsite is decorated best for Halloween with prizes
Trick or Treating through the campgrounds
Pumpkin painting
Spooky evening walk thru the park with lots of scarry ghouls and goblins.
There is also a raffle with winners receiving great prizes.

We need your help!
Friends of Croft State Park is a very small group, and we need more members and volunteers! Some examples of volunteer work include a few hours spent doing trail cleanup, creating a spooky scene or parking cars during our Halloween event, handing out rods and reels for our kids Fishing For Fun event and helping to organize our Spring into Croft event. We also have many other types of volunteering opportunities. We typically meet at Croft State Park every first Tuesday of the month at 6:15 PM. If you are interested please contact us at (friendsofcroftstatepark@gmail.com) or thru our Facebook page (Friends of Croft State Park).
